For Your Listening Pleasure

The following selections were digitally recorded from some records I have, some of which are so old that they only have recordings on one side. I'm pretty sure they're in the public domain by now. I used a 1949 Garrard phonograph and an HP laptop to make the mp3's.

Feel free to download any of these, and use them for watever purpose you see fit.

Banjo Song, sung by Mme. Homer and Miss Louise Homer.
I like this one because it's about playing the banjo, but it doesn't actually have any banjo music.

A Dream, sung by Enrico Caruso.

Four Leaf Clover, sung by Evan Williams.

Gwine to Hebb'n. The description on the record calls this a "Negro Sermon in Rythm."
Performed by John Charles Thomas.

I Passed by Your Window, sung by Frances Alda.

La Capinera (The Wren), sung by Amelita Galli-Curci.

Mah Lindy Lou, sung by John Charles Thomas.

Open the Gates of the Temple, sung by Evan Williams.

Caro Nome from Rigoletto, sung by Amelita Galli-Curci.

Sweet and Low, sung by Hulda Lashanska.
